I create collages exploring themes of speculative futures, escapism and imaginary worlds including imagery of beaches, water, sunbathers, fire, flood, pollution, drought, overgrown plants, abandoned cities, otherworldly landscapes... I aim to make my work beautiful or alluring at the same time as expressing danger, my fears or guilt.

I see my abstract works as close ups or cropped sections of my more figurative scenes and use them to delve into the possibilities of the media I use to communicate a sense of place or mood through colour, shape and textures.

My favourite mediums include 70s houseplant manuals, tourist souvenir photo books, hand-painted paper, my own photography, mirror card, rubber, fused glass and gold leaf.

I am Inspired by a variety of sources including science fiction novels, survivalism TV, mudlarking on the Thames, tropical holiday locations, swimming, glasshouses, gardens and sublime natural landscapes.

I am an artist and art teacher living and working in the East End of London. I studied BA Illustration in Brighton and went on to complete MA Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. I have exhibited in various spaces in London including Safehouse - Peckham, Three Colt Gallery, Brixton Village and Tooting Market where I created an immersive installation with arts company The Brick Box.
